This is our major annual fundraising event that we hold every year in May. At this event our friends and supporters celebrate and recognize the efforts of everyone that insures our organization’s continued success. We present awards to two individuals that have truly helped the organization and community. The Monsignor Romero Award honors an individual that has demonstrated distinguished work and tireless efforts to promote the rights and dignity of immigrants. This honoree embodies the ideals of Monsignor Romero, the Salvadoran Archbishop who was known as the voice of the voiceless. The Community Leadership Award honors an individual whose efforts have strengthened Centro Romero’s capacity to serve the community. The Cena de Gala provides an opportunity for participants to network, better understand our work, and financially support the agency. Through sponsorships, ticket sales, ads in our program booklet, a raffle, and a silent auction, the Cena de Gala raises funds to sustain the organization’s programs. But it is not all business during the event. We also showcase artistic presentations and conclude the night with dancing. Every year over 250 persons enjoy the festivities.
